With Jo, circular walk from car park to NNE: Disworthy Warren Stone Rows, Eastern Tor, then Gutter Tor (top, trig, and actual tor}. Weather; sunny, warm, good visibility. | amblerbob | 08/04/2019 |
From parking area to NNE. Did the rocky tor first before coming on to the trig. | jonglew | 24/06/2018 |
Easy walk up from the end of the public road to the Tor. I wandered over to the trig point which appears higher. I camped in the rocks at the Tor. It was a clear moonlit night with a Cuckoo calling at 4am. I packed up at 6:30am and walked back to the car. I saw a few Wheatears and Skylarks. There were also a few tents scattered about. | isabelle | 05/05/2018 |
Lovely Autumn sunshine. Walk including Sheep tor as well. Mountain rescue plaque on trig. We thought tor higher than trig, using abney level, though only half a metre in it. Hope the dead cow has gone for the next visitor! | Denise | 21/10/2016 |
By good path over rough pasture from Sheeps Tor. Gutter Tor has nice rock basins on its top. Trig point 300m SW looked higher but neither Abney nor GPS would agree so we'd opt for the top of the tor as the high point.
