Parked at Westmoorgate for a circuit of 4 Tumps. Easy grassy terrain. Hendra Downs, Leskernick Hill, Buttern Hill, Bray Down. Also visited boulder. | PGCE | 09/07/2022 |
Second top on walk taking in Tolborough, Leskernick, Buttern Hill, Bray Down and Hendra Beacon from Jamaica Inn. I've wanted to come here for years. Two damaged stone circles and a ton of archaeology. Headed up to the top from the northern circle via a huge prehistoric settlement site. Onwards to Buttern Hill. | thesweetcheat | 15/06/2022 |
From Buttern Hill, earth mound HP. On to Bray Down. | PeterD | 21/05/2022 |

Bolventor to Altarnun. After hours of solitude I was confronted with a group of c.50 youngsters loitering near this summit. | Smudge | 29/03/2019 |
Earth mound slightly higger than obvious low and large cairn. On gently domed grassy top. Low cloud and rain. | Denise | 11/03/2018 |
Easy walking over short firm grass from Hendra Downs. High point rock/grass mound by clump of reed grass. | RichardM | 11/03/2018 |
Parked at 204 804 , end of road in spaces at gate just outside westmoorgate. Enjoyable gentle walk to summit , wet ground yet pleasant settlements to view before ascending to Blackrock and on to The Beacon. | Hippy77 | 13/02/2018 |
Parked at bend in road near ford to north at SX 18358 82651 Buttern Hill > Leskernick Hill > Bray Down. Rough descent back to car from Bray Down. | David Gradwell | 13/09/2017 |
Small parking area (alt 918ft) right at the very end of the road running west from Trewint (I checked with the lady at the house that this was dedicated public parking). Easy start along good track. Whole area flat grassland so no problems in taking a direct route across the open access to the summit. 3.42 miles including The Beacon. | moorsman | 17/06/2016 |
Continuation of walk from The Beacon. Climbed wooden gate and headed SW, crossing stony track. Then up between granite boulders to summit. Walk continued to Buttern Hill. | Man of Kernow1 | 31/03/2015 |
From N, parking S side of ford, via Buttern Hill. Nice runnable grassland. Contouring route back to start. | RHW | 13/04/2014 |
Visited whilst in the area geocaching. | CornishGazza | 22/09/2013 |
Easy roadside parking just before end of minor road to East. The valley to SE of hill is boggy even in dry weather. Interesting hill with extensive remains of settlements and hut circles. Lots of wild ponies, but didn't meet any other walkers. | Hillsidenick | 13/08/2013 |
