A good circular route from Durisdeer church, up Durisdeer Rig, grassy ATV track then stony track, then standard issue ATV track over Scaw'd Law, then onto track briefly, then Smuring Hags (easy, quite dry, slight path) to Glenleith Fell. Straight down to fence where I found an ATV track down to Kettleton Byre and track back to the cemetery. Hats off to the quad bike riders for getting up and down the steep ground.Gill26/03/2024

From Durisdeer for a round of Glenleith Fell, Wedder Law, Scaw'd Law, Ballencleuch Law, Rodger Law, Comb Law and Meikle Shag.rhalstead26/08/2023
Circuit from Kirkhope of Rodger, Ballencleuch & Scaw'd Laws, Glenleith Fell, Wedder Law & Sheil Dod. Pretty easy going except for descent along the Carsehope Burn, which was a bit rough. There were a lot of vehicles on Gana Hill, presumably out for a shoot.sclater25/08/2023
Parked at Durisdeer church, then clockwise round of Black Hill, Penbane, Capel Hill, Turn Hill, Well Hill, Durisdeer Hill and Scaw’d Law visited both the 660m contours with each looking higher from the other, before returning on track. Another fine day.PeterD16/06/2023
1 of 4: From Durisdeer. With Karen.ChrisR23/05/2023
The Google Maps suggested route to Durisdeer was awful, this is the route via the ford, it wasn't the ford but the huge potholes that were the problem. Would suggest taking the longer route. Followed tracks the whole way up to Glenleith Fell, Wedder Law and back the same way to Scaw'd Law. Then a pleasant walk to Ballencleuch Law and Rodger Law. Long trek through boggy and peaty ground to Comb Law which was pleasant enough once you got up there. Followed Kirkstane Grain down to Sheepfold, waded across the stream (boots just about dry though) and then took the Roman Road (very pleasant) back to Durisdeer. Didn't see a single person all day.tsharp10/05/2023

Circuit of Scaw'd Law and Wedder Law from Durisdeer. 2 of 8thekirkie pirate19/08/2022
Parked at the end of the forest on the Daer Reservoir road, following a grass track along the forest line to a wall and fence that climbs to Comb Law. An ATV track aids continuation to Hirstane Rig and Rodger Law. Over to Ballencleuch Law then fence/wall line to Scaw'd Law. Once down the south flank a stone track heads up to Glenleith Fell and Wedder Law and Shiel Dod. The track continues to Daer Water and the Reservoir road. 4.5hrs.summitter08/04/2022
Daer Reservoir Donalds, parking at Kirkhope Cleuch around midday on Saturday 2nd April, I headed up Coomb Law (645m, Donald), then around to Rodger Law (688m, Donald Top) & along to Ballencleuch Law (689m, Donald & Graham). Then Scaw’d Law (663m, Donald), some heather bashing to get ‘directly’ to Glenleith Fell (612m, Donald Top), followed by a track to top of the Glenleith Burn & up to Wedder Law (672m, Donald), I carried on to Gana Hill (668m, Donald) and down to the Burleywhag Bothy, where I camped & chatted with 3 guys who already had the fire going inside. Sunday 3rd April, late / lazy start, up to Queensberry (697m, Donald & Graham), then via Penbreck & some peat hags to Earncriag Hill (611m, Donald). The plan was to follow the north ridge, over Lamb Hill & Over Law to Crookburn Farm, but I got feed up with the peat hags & descended west to ford the Daer Water and join the track to Kirkhope then the public road back to the car for 16:00. Great trip.chillyman802/04/2022

Straight up to Watchman’s Brae, then Rodger Law, Ballencleuch Law, Scaw’d Law, (missed Glenleith Fell!), Wedder Law, Shiel Dod, before descending on a rough track all the way back to the reservoir and the car. Round of 4 Donalds using track from Kirkhope to Skawd Law, back to Wedder Law and across to Gana and Earncraig.AndrewFinnimore30/04/2018
Fittingly from Durisdeer war memorial taking well made track up to just short of Glenleith Fell. Returned to track and followed to very near to Wedder Law before returning same way avoiding wet ground and angling up to Scaw'd Law from gate. Followed ridge to Ballencleuch Law with two minute stop at 11:00, then on to Rodger Law on ATV track. Bit of cross country from there to Comb Law descending to Meikle Shag and then over very wet ground to take the old Roman Road back to Durisdeer. The fort is very impressive.SS11/11/2017

With J and F, from Durisdeer up track onto shoulder of SL then L off track to two high points on summit; further out point 2m higher. My second visit; first was on 02/09/2015, solo. Returned directly to track, turning L to walk to Wedder Law. Sunny weather, warm climbing but cold W wind at height. Third visit was on 02/07/2018, coming from Glenleith Fell on its track turning up hill on main track through gate and onto atv R at high point then through gate in wall and N along wall past the two possible summit locations, continuing to turn NE to head for Ballencleuch Law; weather was v warm with a little wind. Fourth visit was on 02/11/2019, a KHWC walk, I led five members, DB,MB,RMcI and EH. We left summit, going down towards Carsehope Middens but veering R to reach track heading for WL; rain from early on walk continued.jacobus06/03/2017
