Did a round of the hill on lanes and byways from Buckfast Abbey. Failed to reach the top, as it involved a number of fields which held either cattle or crops. LTS - life's too short for a crappy hill like this!Man of Kernow102/05/2019
Whilst staying at Buckfast Abbey. The hedges here are totally impenetrable so I ended up walking a lot extra. The summit was at the far edge of a rape field which would have been impenetrable but it was possible to walk round three sides of the field to bag it.clivevilla20/06/2018
Along hedge rows from byway to S. Views of rolling Devon countryside to SE, Dartmoor to the NW. Clear skies, calm and glorious sunshine. By cycle.RichardM08/11/2017

Age 17 on a family holiday at Buckfast. A solo 8 mile walk Buckfast to Ashburton and back . My log from 35 yrs ago tells me I climbed to the trig via a track and field of wheat and had to climb a hedge !Chris Pearson07/08/1980
