The gas pipe marker is bright red so helps once you enter the summit field. I got up on to the hedgebank but it was very prickly and, presumably , man made anyway. | clivevilla | 07/03/2023 |
From S. Tall hedgebank crosses summit, high pressure gas marker post approx at HP. Sunny breezy eve after grey day | RHW | 16/06/2018 |
Top is in pasture just on NW side of a brambly embanked wall bounding the coppice, near gas pipeline marker, ie in the field where the OS spot height is marked. However land to SE side of coppice is of similar height without direct line of sight. It is possible to park on wide road due east and then follow field boundaries through open gates besides ploughed land to reach a small coppice ( and tip) . Muddy and overcast. | Denise | 28/01/2018 |
Good parking on side of unusually wide lane at SX 713 572. N along lane to field gate then muddy field margin W to summit area. High ground is on hedge line SW side of copse and close to natural gas pipe marker post. | RichardM | 28/01/2018 |
