Logged Descriptions  (logged by 12 users)ByDate of Ascent
Gate from N as others (verge parking). Steep saturated pastures -churned up by entrance gate into the best deep thick Devon orange mud by horses - two of whom stood by forlornly and impassively, hoof deep in the stuff, in the miserable rain. No one around at 7 am - on my way to a supply teaching day in Torquay, but not before I stopped off to buy a new pair of wellies in B & Q.Chris Pearson15/03/2024
Parked on the pavement at 87188 62460, over a rickety gate and up a couple of pastures. Nobody about to ask permission.clivevilla06/03/2023

Accessed from west side of B3060, to north of summit, just S of roundabout. There is a small rough track/ parking place which gives access to small stables and paddocks with electric tape fences. A horse owner gave us permission to enter and walk steeeply up the paddocks to the top. This could either be a hedge embankment or a spot c 3 m w of a hedge where the OS spot height is marked. Lovely views over coast, town and countryside. Walked from the nearby windmill hill trig. Tump Not easily accessible from Jamie road gardens/ utility stationDenise 12/06/2018
From stables at junction of B3060 and A380. Friendly woman tending horses immediately gets the concept of prominence, concludes we are completely mad, but happy for us to visit the summit. Horses accompany us. Good view of Beacon Hill to the W.RichardM12/06/2018
