| Gate from N as others (verge parking). Steep saturated pastures -churned up by entrance gate into the best deep thick Devon orange mud by horses - two of whom stood by forlornly and impassively, hoof deep in the stuff, in the miserable rain. | Accessed from west side of B3060, to north of summit, just S of roundabout. There is a small rough track/ parking place which gives access to small stables and paddocks with electric tape fences. A horse owner gave us permission to enter and walk steeeply up the paddocks to the top. This could either be a hedge embankment or a spot c 3 m w of a hedge where the OS spot height is marked.
