Logged Descriptions  (logged by 14 users)ByDate of Ascent
3hr circular walk with L from Hillhead over summit where all the pastures to N have high security fences across all the hedge-bank gaps. Even lower trig is now imprisoned. Hedge-bank itself good enough summit. Down to follow the steep ups and downs on the coast path with lovely breaks in a suntrap on Man then Sabbacombe beaches. 2 kayakers landed, and did a beach clean - we forced ourselves from the horizontal to help their good cause. Steep climb backup . 460m ascent all in - 3 times the actual height of this hill. One paddock near summit is a private high fenced-in dog exercise field you can book if you wish to let loose in isolation your particularly viscous, or nervous dog, with strict instructions to remain in your car until the previous occupant has left!Chris Pearson03/03/2024
Visited the trig several years ago but thought I ought to return to check out the high point. High point in horse paddocks on N side of lane. As last visit very friendly folk at stables allow me to visit the paddock. Great views of Tor Bay.RichardM05/04/2019
From east along track. Lots of paddocks. HP on hedge bank. Trig to north east.PeterD12/12/2017
Walked down the lane and bagged the trig. I believe that the high point is the bank located at side of lane.Ramblingpaul06/11/2016
Drove track from W, which appears to cross summit. If as IJP claims the paddock to N is higher there's very little in it. Tall gate locked today.RHW09/07/2016
Drove the track W to E. Parked at summit in a paddock on S side track, had a walk about but no definitive HP . Spot height is on S side, trig pillar on N side. So whichever side is the HP it's done.jonglew09/07/2016

The lane is driveable from east to west though rough, with few parking opportunities. Summit is protected by 8 foot high gate that happened to be open when I got there.ijpowell28/07/2015
Entry into hill bagging website made in April 19. Visited several years ago when Grattery trig visited while moored in Dartmouth after Channel crossing . Lady in horses field assisted but thought we were slightly odd! Not sure if reached the top so not logged at the time. New information and checking route confirms we did actually reach the top.Denise 16/07/2015
Parked awkwardly to west at the junction. Could have parked easily further away. Summit could be anywhere. Waste of time really.destaylor13/06/2015
After visiting pillar to the east.Dusty19/05/2011
