Simple wiggle diversion with just John to the summit then reunited with R, M & L we continued on the 3 mile beautiful coastal walk in windy sunshine to Rame Head and then back. Enjoyed sampling the cliff top cafe before the long descent down to Whitesands Bay through the fascinating cabins and chalets built into the cliff slope. All small and single story, with jaw -dropping sea views - top price of £750K for an ultra modern one; some decaying and abandoned (what a waste)! Saw Nanunino chalet_owned by R & J's friends - in need of TLC. Beach patrolled by lifeguards who kept moving their flags back as the sea came before doing an end of day sweep in their speedy inflatable up and down the coast to make sure nobody was cut off before packing up for the day. R & J's son had done lifeguarding here living with 6 others squashed into the Nanunino chalet -surfing at dawn and dusk before their day's work on the beach. They got a team award for rescuing 8 folk from a rip tide.Chris Pearson08/04/2023
Concrete track from road to W gets you most of the way there. Fairly levelish farmland, high point SW of junction of field boundaries (and water tanks)on SW side of break in hedge. Fine views, even in a passing hail shower.RichardM09/04/2016
Indistinct point at field gate, near various WW2 buildings. Brief hail shower!Denise 09/04/2016
