The former hedgehog hospital, named Prickley Ball Farm (get it!) is now holiday chalets with a handy car park alongside summit field. Next door is a Cat Cafe where for £6 each per hour you can enjoy the company of 12 cats whilst having coffee and cake. It's aimed as cat therapy which is a great idea. We had thought about visiting, but as we are currently down here in Devon cat sitting we can have one cat for 12 hours for free, as opposed to 12 cats for one hour for £12 which is equal cat time, just less intense! Also it could get expensive as L would want to stay all day (!), like when we do cat cuddling/ socialising for the rescue centre back home. Muddy field summit and then trig easily visited over field gate along lane.Chris Pearson12/03/2024
The Hedgehog Rescue Centre is no more but the car park is. Go back from it to the road and the summit is in the next field.clivevilla06/03/2023
Up a bare earth ploughed field from the west and then further east to the trig pillar on top of the open reservoirvegibagger13/08/2021
You can park at Prickley Ball Farm (Hedgehog rescue centre and visitor farm) and go in for free to use their café. The trig is visible from the farm. Two gate hops to pass the trig and follow the edge of the field then into the summit field that was in full crop. Not sure how Prickley Ball Farm staff would take to using their facility as the base point.ijpowell28/07/2015
