As others, as near as possible | Bramley | 16/01/2022 |
As tempting as it was, I decided against climbing the fort to get to the highest point I could. | LovableScum | 29/03/2021 |
Walked to various contenders for hp. Could be in field to se of fort. Golf club car park is a superb viewpoint. | Barbara Singer | 04/02/2018 |
Very difficult to determine the actual hp which is accessible. The old fort is an amazing structure. | Campbell Singer | 04/02/2018 |
Difficult to know where the natural high ground is. Fort is inaccessible being a working RN wireless site. Walked the perimeter and found a spot on the E side which gave me the highest elevation at 122m. | jonglew | 11/09/2016 |
Topped by fort, MOD property with comms masts, etc. Possible natural high points outside of fort are grassy bank in golf club car park - the nicest and offeres fine views of Plymouth; in front of the fort entrance gate - preferred by GPS (119m) or field on the SE side of fort. Take your pick. | RichardM | 17/03/2016 |
Trig point is on top of an MOD building, so definitely not natural, but is also inaccessible. Possible natural Accessible HP on land near far Golf club car park. Good views North over Plymouth | PeterD | 21/06/2015 |
