Minor detour on the 7 mile drive from housesit at the hamlet of St Veep to GP in Lostwithiel (Losty) taking in 3 typical inland Cornish tump summits; all grassy pastures alongside a treasure trail of narrow sunken lanes rich with primroses on their sunny sheltered microclimate banks. These ancient lanes link dotted farms and nowhere in particular -offering uncertain entertainment if you meet something coming the other way.
The lane to our nearby housesit at St Veep is too narrow for fire engines and the Tesco delivery van had to be pulled out backwards by a tractor when its post code sat nav led it down a narrowing bridleway with predictable results. A gorgeous blue sky sunny spring morning with buzzards and skylarks above. | Chris Pearson | 27/03/2023 |

Indistinct point on grassy domed field near telegraph pole to east of road via farm gate. Farmer sees us and reminds us this is private land, but seems quite pleased he owns a mountain. Sunny spells, breeze, clear green views. | Denise | 31/03/2018 |
Easy access from lane to W by gate at high point of road. Neat pasture. Farmer working on a fence spotted us and came over to challenge why we were there. Mildly interested that he owned a mountain, if only a Tump, but reminded us we were on private land. | RichardM | 31/03/2018 |
