Parked at N end of Glenkiln Reservoir where there is a small parking area for 6 cars NX840785 and a core paths sign for Barbuie via Bishop Forest Hill. Couldn't find any more signs for the path but headed up track and went through gate on left immediately before the entrance to Cornlee Farm. This went up to and through the junction of walls shown as a sheepfold on the 1:25,000 OS map. Continued NW through bracken on animal tracks for c 300m keeping wall on our right. This wall is continuous but the adjoining wall heading NW at NX843787 is tumbledown. Followed various animal tracks N and then NE over easy grassy ground to summit. | ColinW | 22/03/2024 |

From lonely Marglolly Bridge on a beautiful day . Straight up an ATV track opposite to reach the ridge then followed paths up. | Mark Sims | 25/03/2022 |
Circular. Parked at Cornlee and walked up road to Marglolly Bridge, then up to summit. ATV and vague paths but quite pleasant walking and great views on way round the other high points. Descended to visit the communion stones and memorial. Up and over Skeoch, got a bit entangled in poor ground as trying to avoid sheep descending Skeoch. Would have been better just to descend the nose of Skeoch and carry on. Skirted round east shore of the reservoir - it's hard going and very difficult to get back out to the carpark as the fence is exceptionally robust. Had to punt the dog over wire twice, and finally dug out a ruined gate to skirt round the back of the Cornlee house and through the yard. Too awkward and don't recommend this with a dog even though it was beautiful. Crossing reservoir to the road would have been more sensible. | catlovesmaps | 01/03/2022 |

Parking area (3 or 4 neatly parked vehicles) at NX83957844. Follow track E towards house at Cornlee. Immediiately before house turn left (N) through gate (heavy to open) into field. Cross field diagonally back NW to gateway (no gate) at NX84047864. Very indistinct quad track goes N from here to flattening around NX841791. If you lose track don't worry, it will reappear higher up near the shoulder. Continue on track NNE then E to final climb to summit. Boggy in places... hey, it's SE Scotland :-) | geralddavison | 11/03/2020 |

For information: Parking at Marglolly bridge is frowned upon by a local farmer as irresponsible as there is no room to get emergency vehicles, tractors through etc.I parked there and the farmer wasn’t pleased. Parking for the hill is at the reservoir. | Alan Caine | 25/03/2018 |
A great walk from Marglolly bridge, in snow, all bogs frozen, and blue skies and sunshine. The ATV track goes up easily onto a flat area, and gets lost in deep heather, but another track is joined quite soon. A good path then leads across a bit of bog and up to the trig. Amazing views. | Gill | 09/12/2017 |
2nd short hill for the evening after Bennan. From the upper end of Glenkiln Reservoir, parking before Bridge. Via farm at Cornlee, gate before reaching farm and path up through fields. Then ATV track nearish the wall, takes you to almost the summit. Kingfisher perched on branches at Reservoir. | N.Morters | 23/08/2017 |
Easy from Margolly Bridge, apart from the hot sun. Wasp or bee nest in cairn. | agentmancuso | 28/05/2017 |

From Marglolly Bridge - ATV tracks. | Chris Peart | 25/07/2016 |
From Margolly Bridge, parked at jct. with unmetalled road. 200yds NE there is a hole in the wall. I went through this and reached the top using animal tracks and landrover tracks as much as possible. The latter were easier to follow higher up. On the way down, one took me towards Cornlee. However, about 50 m above the road there is a good track and I used this to return to the hole in the wall. 80 mins, good views on very sunny day. Glenkiln is a nice place and the starting point for Bennan, my next hill, was only 4 miles away | pwheeler | 10/05/2016 |
