kayaked from Meadfoot bay via Orestone. Perfect still day. Landed on flattish seaweed and barnacled limestone rocks on northeast side. Steep ascent through soft vegetation . A few birds flew about. Some guano. There are two adjacent pinnacles of similar height ( horns) . It is an easy scramble up both, with flattish slightly crumbly tops. We decided , using Abney , eastern one a few cm higher. Lovely views of blue sea and green headland, felt remote, though actually quite close to land! Descended same way and canoed back easily to Meadfoot where tide now in. Great day.Denise 07/04/2017
By sit-on canoe from Meadfoot Beach after first visiting the Ore Stone. Easy landing on the gently sloping wave washed ledge on NE side of island. Rock slabs then soft vegetation to summit towers which appear as a crabs pincer from the water. E tower is the highest gained by YDS3- scramble up loose rock. Rock of W tower much more solid.RichardM07/04/2017
Two limestone tors: easternmost higher. Best climbed via the gap between them to avoid loose rock. Jon, Adrian and I hired kayaks out of Oddicombe, tough paddle with a gusty SW breeze. Ok landing E side. Happened to be my 400th SIB.RHW10/07/2016
With Rob W and Adrian. Easy paddle down from Oddicombe until rounding headland into Torbay, then head into stiff southwesterly for final 1k. Sheltered landing (SX 9441 6287), little tricky still but ok. Rock very loose, partially vegetated. 2 main stacks and a baby to scramble at summit. On to Ore Stone.jonglew10/07/2016
