Ran up from lay-by on A39 near Holford. Went over Dowsborough and Black Hill and along to Bicknoller Post before dropping back down to Holford. Nice when the sun came out but cold wind from the northeast. Saw a Green Woodpecker near the summit of Black Hill. There were a few Meadow Pipits about. I nearly got run over by a large herd of Red Deer in the woods above Holford. Took me 1 hour 20 minutes for 7.65 miles.isabelle03/02/2018
