Part of 3 peak walk. Nice summit.cjo07/04/2023
Parked at 78361 and di first Horsen Hill and then back down and went to Cow Castle. Presumably this was a Bronze Age hill fort and a man I spoke to said he had found evidence of dwellings.clivevilla09/07/2022
Parked near Landacre Bridge for a circuit of 4 Tumps: Thornemead Hill, Cow Castle (a nice little hill), Horsen Hill and Withypool Common.PGCE10/12/2021
Rain stopped, sun came out, luminous green grass and intense rainbow. Lovely little hillfort. Only just managed to jump across gushing stream to East; three useful bridges to South.Denise 26/10/2020
A smooth sided rounded hill rising from valley floor, just to it's SE a lower more pointed peak. We leap the racing White Water then grassy path to hill fort summit. Fine valley views.RichardM26/10/2020
As others parked before Horsen Farm. Then walked a 13km circuit taking in Horsen Hill, Cow Castle and Thornemead Hill. Cow Castle is a lovely little hill set in wonderful surroundings.fosal2919/09/2019

From Horsen Farm. Signposts suggests that Cow Castle is a mile and a quarter away. It isn't. Just shy of two miles, though down good paths.moorsman06/08/2018
From Horsen Farm after Horsen Hill, followed ROW.PeterD27/06/2018
From Simonsbath. Down Two Moors Way and back up via Pickedstones.davidpettit8422/07/2016
From Horsen Farm on RoW. Nice hill nestling between higher hills on all sides; once an IA hill fort and now a Scheduled Ancient Monument. Steep little hill to SW interesting but could only make it a p23.jonglew03/04/2016
With Jo, walk from Simonsbath: Two Moors Way to Cow Castle, then bridleways to Horsen Hill. Weather; sunny, hot, good visibility.amblerbob30/06/2015
From SW, end of yellow road. Interesting steep little summit to SSE GPSd as 311m P27 at SS 79556 37168RHW03/04/2015
2nd summit of The day on The Two Moors way having Climbed Chains Barrow earlier in The day. I Climbed up from the trail that profiles round one side of this hill. Beautiful views on top on this day as The hills in The distance (towards Withypool ) were lit up in sunshine whereas others were still in shadow. The ramparts Are clearly seen on this hill indicating that It Was once a hillfort of some sort.Dazingdale22/03/2014
