From the private road. Tip about the track up the spine is key. HP by the side of this path.clivevilla30/07/2023

A short, sharp climb from the Private Road to the west. The main ridge has a grass track that is worth following.summitter09/01/2023
With Joe and Tom. Not clear where to go at first so hopped over fence and climbed up ridge. Lots of nettles and thistles. Came back down via gate.fnem15/08/2022
Parked at start of private road to Rodmead Farm. Walked along road and over stile to Access Land and track to summit. Nice little hill. Solo.Dangerous Dave09/01/2022
Good parking, through the woods then up and down by the ridge. Top a mess of stinging nettles which penetrated my flimsy trousersColin Crawford16/10/2021
Good parking at start of Private Road. Through a few trees and over bwf. Straight up west side. Top covered in nettles but sheep seemed impervious to stings. Fine views.Campbell Singer09/10/2021
Exactly as Chris Peart (16/01/2015). Had a snack below the top on chalk downland- the HP was a mess of nettles, rare on such substrate. Good views of the nice hills in this area, all around.pwheeler22/09/2021

12 mile circular from Mere taking in Long Hill, Zeals Knoll, Long Knoll, Little Knoll and White Sheet Hill. From Long Knoll and entrance to Rodmead farm we walked down track to another little parking area and through open gate and up stupidly steep but short ascent onto Little Knoll, saw a deer as we ascended, not bad views south but absolutely no views north. Descended then followed lane into Rodmead farm the across field footpath to Coombe Barn farm, ascending White Sheet Hill.DanTrig08/10/2019
Frome - Roddenbury Hill - Horningsham Common - Little Knoll - Long Knoll - Jack's Castle - Redlynch Hill - BrutonMark Jackson15/06/2019
Walked steeply up from gate to South, leaving Xc skis at the base. Great snowy views to S, woodland behind. Highpoint not marked but reasonably obvious on grass near fence.Denise 03/02/2019
Straight up the steep snow and grass from access gate/stile at ST 806,377. Good views, area very popular with circling groups of Buzzards, Red Kites and Crows.RichardM03/02/2019
Same route as HA.PeterD06/08/2017
Up a steep bank and over the fence from the SW. Then a fairly short but steep ascent through patchily good chalk grassland. Another excellent hill with extensive views south.Herbert Anchovy03/08/2017
A distinctive steep sided little hill being an extension of the Long Knoll chalk ridge. Little Knoll appears to have escaped being temporarily turned into a breast unlike its bigger sibling which in 2012 as part of Breast Cancer awareness had an illuminated plastic dome (nipple) added to its summit to make it look like a breast. The artist (A Mr Munro !) lives below Long Knoll and creates fields of light at dusk / night to connect with the human spirit.Chris Pearson30/07/2016
From nw, flattish summit with a couple of hp candidatesRHW25/12/2015
Short hike up from the westvegibagger30/07/2015

Park at start of Private road, short walk to the top.rhalstead05/10/2013
Small parking area at junction with track at ST 80388 38086. Walked south along track then had to scrabble up a steep bank and climb fence at ST 80411 37860 to gain west ridge. Highest point 2m S of fence at ST 80737 37822.David Gradwell03/04/2012
