Parked in car park at top of tarmac road at Redhorn Hill and walked west along military track to top.
Top is fairly obvious on the track itself by footpath sign. It is possible to drive all the way to the top on the track, but it is gravel not tarmac. Good views north to Tan Hill and Alton Barnes White Horse etc | Hillsidenick | 11/07/2013 |
Hill top is on the Wessex Ridgeway, part of perimeter of Salisbury Plain military plain training area. Navigable by vehicles all year round, 4x4 sometimes advisable in winter. First passed by this way between trigs Market Lavington and Redhorn Hill. Nice part of Wilts, shame about the army. | jonglew | 30/01/2012 |
