Walked this amazing hill from Bridport with my friend Pam via Allington Hill. It was a lovely day and such a nice walk.derlan14/08/2023
An impromptu foray to and from my Symondsbury circuit exploring the deep sunken green lanes of Shutes and Hells lane with Lesley. A steep but fairly easy ascent from the bridleway while Lesley waited for me. Later on I would see an impressive view of this hill from the Beacon on Quarry hill and shortly thereafter from breaks in cover on the footpath descending Rock Hopper.Dazingdale12/08/2023

From Quarry Cross. We could have walked directly to the top, but Hell Lane just had to be walked. At the gate out, we did a dog-leg back, then a W to E walk over this excellent hill, finishing down in Simondsbury. Part of a London Inn to Bridport walk over the hills. With Pete, sunny day.pwheeler09/06/2023

Up from village (pub not open) and NW permissive path. Thanks Julia.arranc11/02/2019
Walked from Quarry Hill via Quarry Cross. Route followed a deep (by Dorset standards) gorge, almost into Symondsbury where permitted path can be accessed. Over the very special top and down to village. The estate sign says the permitted path will be closed on 10 days each year so it may be worth checking with Symondsbury estate that path is open before travellingtrimarc221/11/2018

On Litton Cheney Trig Baggers weekend. Probably the finest looking hill of the weekend. Parking at Symondsbury church. Along lane then up into rough pasture and just keep going up to a ring of 9 mature conifers at top with a trig pillar.jonglew28/03/2015

Parked in Symondsbury then followed the FP and then the obvious access path up through the bracken with Helen & Molly to this magical hill top, windy but with great views all round.JohRvs29/08/2013
Ask a child to draw hill with trees on top, what have you got? this place. Like some of the other visitors I d often driven past it. A half working day in Bridport gave me the opportunity. Spring sunshine no wind and a fantastic view.Anthony Vosper21/04/2009
