Drove from Sherburne to Yeovil and took in this hill on the way.Dragonzilla26/07/2016
At Wessex Water's Compton Reservoir. Pulled in off busy A30 at entrance. Walked partially round perimeter fencing, then into compound at weak point in fencing. Unsure if ground was higher on N side of road, too much forestation to tell. Natural HP seemed to be at NE corner on outside of compound fencing. Tricky pulling out onto A36 due to slight curvature of dual carriageway.jonglew22/10/2015
Ducked inside resr compound for a few waypoints but pretty sure CP is right: wood N side of A30 is higher - looking S across road it appears nearly level with top of covered resr (the higher eastern one) although map contouring seems to suggest highest natural ground would have been inside resr compound.RHW04/10/2015
Track from busy road goes into woodland.Adrian04/10/2015
This one's tricky - I parked in the reservoir gateway on the A30 and circled, with difficulty, the reservoir compound but decided the summit was most likely in the wood to the N of the road at about ST 59711 16403.Chris Peart11/02/2015
