On a circular out of Ham following the Mid Wilts Way then circling back for Wexcombe Down, Haydown Hill and Walbury Hill.PhilipChaston26/06/2021
Very good 9 mile walk from Tidcombe, first over Haydown Hill (qv for route, Fosbury Fort easily included), then Hippinscombe, Scot's Poor (now v. wealthy) and RoW to HP area. Tidcombe parking not that obvious but locals seemed more concerned for the safety of my car when I asked, than propriety for parking. Lovely countryside, I'd recommend you relax and enjoy. Great pub at Vernham Dean for 5*** beer after.pwheeler04/11/2020

Out and back from Tidcomberhalstead02/04/2017
From Chute Causeway -the old roman road to the east after visiting first Little Down (a Dewey Notable) -then further along a Landranger Top. Some incredible acts of art / vandalism have occurred here with fancy crop circles (e.g six fractured isosceles triangles within a 120 ft circle). Like all hobbies crop circle devotees have their own web sites to log, photograph, record and discuss. Seems to be dying down as a hobby since 'how its done' has been exposed. After yesterday's heavy rain mud circles would be the likely outcome today.Chris Pearson06/03/2017
