Almost a drive by. Walked up the two closes, just to be sureMinto16/01/2023
I was walking from Alton to Alresford and decided to attempt this high point on my way. It was a pleasant walk through Chawton Park Woods and then down Boyneswood Road to Boyneswood Lane passing this high point on the way.ThomasJoseph25/09/2022

Pleasant woodland ridge walk from Alton to Boyneswood Road. HP indistinct as all fairly level but probably at junction with Boyneswood Close. Warm sunny day.Denise 29/09/2020
I'd go for pavement in front of No.12 Boyneswood Close but all very level. Nice water tower on edge of woods. Walked from Alton through the woods having parked in Chawton of Jane Austen fame.RichardM29/09/2020

Parked in Chawton Wood Car park, descended to just below the 190m contour line along main track then circled back up via other tracks to then explore the various high points which I thought was the pavement on the south side of Boyneswood close or slightly higher the grass by a tree at the entrance to the close.pdantic13/11/2019
Bag from road- Brackenbury gardens or Boyneswood close- you choose, I visited both and thought the latterpwheeler07/07/2018

The Hill is skirted by the Watercress Line - a 10 mile restored stretch of heritage railway( originally used for transporting locally grown watercress to London, and for moving troops from Aldershot to Southampton for deployment by ship overseas). Summit is in Chawton Park woods- popular for mountain biking and dog walking.Chris Pearson20/09/2015

Very flat top. 1:50,000 map suggests cul-de-sac just before the bend or maybe one of the gardens. I took the slight crest in the cul-de-sac as the summit.ijpowell09/09/2014
Did on returning from Winchester to Alton.steverd10/04/2014
(1) 2002 edge of pasture r/o houses S side of Water Twr, unexciting summit, minimal view; 2012 now Brackenbury Gdns, wpt on grass verge; Boyneswood Cl S footway SU 67223 35981 220m3m slightly lower despite better GPS elev, HP could be in a back gdn; (2) OSM suggests contour in wood to N, visited but just descends N.
