Buriton to Torberry Hill on a hot bank holiday Monday with excursions to Head Down, Oakham hill on the way out and to West Harting Down on the return.Buck26/08/2019
From Oakham Hill, quickly joined bridleways down to Downley Bottom, then up the dry valley in W Harting Down. Easy to HP off the bridleway from the E, needed a little track to get to NW edge but worth it for the views from above 200 m. Looks like it could be muddy- bone dry today after a dry spell. Final Tump of walk over War Down, Holt Down, Head Down, Oakham Hill and West Harting Down, returning to Halls Hill car park.pwheeler25/04/2019
Lovely clear and crisp day, no wind and fantasic thin snowy conditions on the groud, everything looking lovey. Part of a 6 tump, 1 marylin loop.atreides788703/02/2019

Flattish forested summit with leaning trig. Lovely mossy branches plus mist and large regular drips down your neck.Easily accessible from path through open forest- mainly beech.Denise 20/01/2018
Paths and forest tracks from Chalton Down. Summit is a large levellish area in open mossy beech woods. A lot of ground S of the leaning trig is of similar height as ground next to trig. Disturbed ground E of trig is slightly higher. Glimpses of views W through the trees.RichardM20/01/2018
