With E. From small car park adjacent to Saddlescombe Farm owned by National Trust, up South Downs Way then down bridleway to fence corner and the current county/UA twin top. Also visited nearby unmarked West Hill top which had excellent views over the Downs.Beeliner05/10/2020
A day on the South Downs enjoying the aftermath of Storm Alex. Using the SDW and the Sussex Border Path. Parked at Ditchling and set off in the rain. Ditchling Beacon - Chattri War Memorial - West Hill - Devil's Dyke - Edburton Hill - Truleigh Hill - Wolstonbury Hill - Ditchling Car park. The afternoon weather was a lot better.Buck03/10/2020

From car park on Dyke Road near Golf Farm. Nice stroll down to Saddlescombe Road then up Varncombe Hill and along rising ridge to West Hill. The summit is in open access field not far from South Downs Way and offers increasing views of Wolstonbury Hill, Jack & Jill Windmills and further afield. Follow the South Downs Way to Sadddlescombe to enjoy refreshments at the Wild Flower cafe in the farm yard. Complete this 4-mile circuit walking up Summers Down and skipping across the golf course.Pete West24/03/2019

From parking area on Summers Down. West Hill, West Hill(boundary) and Devils Dyke. The Donkey wheel, an old 400 year old well at the National Trust farm Saddlescombe is worth a look. Access over stile opposite last cottage.mart079727/11/2018
