Parked to NW at church. Easy track, dry at the moment. Visited several likely highpoints. | PGCE | 08/04/2021 |
Started the ascent from Stone Street before taking the Bridleway from the school to the HP. Easier walking was found on the quarry side of the fence - much less mud. | garyhoney | 22/11/2020 |
Parked at the school. Pleasant path through woods. Crash helmet advisable as I was bombarded with falling nuts. Good viewpoint from the quarry rim. | Campbell Singer | 17/10/2020 |
From the school, good track if a little muddy. HP on edge of old quarry, SW side of track. | jonglew | 07/11/2018 |

Up BW from SE. Steep but not extreme by a long shot. HP on edge of old quarry | PeterD | 05/06/2017 |
Parked in Stone Street, then up self-proclaimed steep bridleway on damp, misty morning.Visited both contenders for high spot. | catman | 10/12/2016 |
'Caution Bridelway Open Extreme Gradient' so reads the sign from the east, and steep it was, then above quarry to high point on bank. The quarry supplied ragstone (a hard grey limestone) for nearby Ightham Mote (pronounced 'Item Mote') a 14th C medieval moated half timbered house. Kentish Ragstone has been the most utilised hard rock within Kent over the last 1000 years and is commonly seen throughout the county, particularly in houses, walls and churches e.g Leeds Castle. | Chris Pearson | 25/03/2015 |
Edge of disused quarry: 2 highpoint contenders close together. Easy access from NW, muddy in Feb, with parking at start | RHW | 22/02/2015 |
Parked OK ish at 579546. Bridleway. Pleasant. | destaylor | 10/03/2014 |
Knole Pk- Ightham Mote via GW then the long bw to this top, Stone St church and Seal Chart before return via Godden Green. Good walk, but decided I prefer the Greensand in winter when the bare trees mean better views. This is very wooded much of the way. | pwheeler | 26/08/2006 |
