From Goodwood triangle car park. Great views from summit.Ramblingpaul07/09/2022
Was in West Dean picking offspring up from his fathers so thought it rude not to visit a hill while I was here. I was last here 25 years ago, was always known as the Trundle and I never knew it was a hill fort! lol. Straight up and back from car park, all I could manage with the remains of a hangover from festival at the weekend......stagger onward23/08/2022

Parked in triangle to north. Quick up and down to trig and summit by torchlight.PGCE11/01/2021
Solo from the Trundle Car park. Path to the top then down to the Triangle and on to Singleton. Lovely church in Singleton before heading to Levin Down. Wandered around the access land, some deer and plenty of cattle to be seen in the woods. Across to Court hill and the Trig point where plenty of deer were seen in the woods. Through East Dean and followed the bridal path back to St Roche's Hill and the car park.Buck01/11/2020

With: hb; Circular walk from Eastdean Park CP, down to East Dean, back up through Eastdean park, then down via Charlton Park to Charlton, across to Singleton & up to St Roche's Hill and back past Goodwood.Ian Baines12/07/2020
Superb view point with trig and ancient hill fort. On a breezy sunny day with great 360 views of rolling green and golden downland and the whole Goodwood race course. Free and popular parking at The Triangle at its base.Denise 05/07/2020
Justifiably popular and a superb view point. Highly recommended, bring a bottle of wine, picnic and someone to share it with.RichardM05/07/2020

Parked in car park near Cocking for a days walk out, had a job to see the racecourse with the low cloud & mist rolling aroundphilhythe12/10/2019
Another run up and back from Lavant with L. Still a blustery rogue shower from yesterday’s non stop rain ( after the heatwave) to spice things up on the top in shorts and t shirt - very humid. Back to the big packing.Chris Pearson20/07/2019
Early morning 3 hours to beat the heat.. 6.50 am start. 70 % max pulse threshold intervals for me whilst L forced herself to walk to fully recover from a germ. Highlight of the day however was 60 miles at Lords where the greatest game of cricket ever ? was unfolding - with England finally winning the World Cup against NZ on the last ball of the super-over. Quite extraordinary drama.Chris Pearson14/07/2019
On a 8.5 mile walk: Goodwood triangle (SU 879114: free parking)-East Dean- Court Hill- Levin Down- Singleton- triangle- HP, around hill fort- triangle. It would have been more logical to do this hill first and save a bit of road walking, but I did enjoy saving the best top- by far- to last, coast views from IOW to Seven Sisters in the sunshine.pwheeler08/07/2019
Our regular 3 hr ramble enhanced by the company of our new friend - Barney the water loving dog who loves chasing stones into the Lavant Stream. Once again I’m nursing a torn calf muscle from an over zealous running training session -inspirationally led by a visiting guest England running coach. Lavant village fair setting up marques just in time for the afternoon rain and gales - at the end of a wet June week.Damp candy floss in the rain anyone?Chris Pearson15/06/2019

2 hr run from home with L and Barney the dog. Longer way up via the sheep field (and lamas). 56 mins to top. I jogged down for Barney to hunt stones in the stream whilst L did a few extra hill reps. Back home to tend to cut flaps of skin on hands from a careless ho ho plant on a protruding flint. A regualar hazard for runners on these chalky paths.Chris Pearson27/05/2019
7 hour outing from Chichester and back dog walking Betty as usual and first time borrowed Barney who required rescuing when he went all limp and motionless underwater chasing stones in the stream. A nasty fright for us (and wet shoes for me) but he seemed non the worse once lifted out. We crossed the summit twice a few hours apart with a summit sandwich stop each time, whilst Barney rolled in cow poo.Chris Pearson19/05/2019
Part of a 25 mile loop from Charlton taking in six Tumps and a hump. Weather must better than the forecast and largely dry all day.atreides788727/01/2019
Googwood Revival in full swing below with spitfires overhead and a wonderful mix of old and unusual cars clogging up the roads all around. We should really have worn our 1930s sturdy tweed rambling outfits to fit in. Extended last week's run route with L and Betty the dog to climb up to the South Downs Way and back over Levin Down, but at a walk this time.Chris Pearson09/09/2018
Glorious Goodwood on a beautiful cloudless blue sky warm September morning, just when we thought we had lost the heatwave of summer 18. With L ran a 4 mile loop around the ' most beautiful racecourse in Britain' as they claim, Uphill start from Singleton, sweated out a lurgi. All calm here today but in 2 days will be heaving with mid week race meet, entry cost min £27 or £4000 + for a corporate box for 16 incl a meal. The horses only run between 6 furlongs ( 3/4 mile) and 2 miles . We did more than that today, but nobody bet on us.Chris Pearson02/09/2018
45 mins door to summit 3 mile run. Gentle jog to Lavant in 20 mins then moved up a gear with 40 sec interval training up the 'endless' chalk track. Hot and humid as it has been for weeks now. Evening ascent 24 hrs after being glued to the TV watching England sadly not make it through to the World Cup final.Chris Pearson12/07/2018
One of @ 500 runners on the hugely popular and enjoyable 10k Trundle Hill run - weds eve from Lavant.L marshalled. I finished somewhere mid pack in 57 mins. Light rain but still hot. We all ran around the summit earthwork bank, and not actually to the trig on the highest point. Out and back the same way.Chris Pearson23/05/2018

Her first hill on a quantum leap 10 mile walk over5 hours from centre of Chi and back with Betty the dog tagging along happily as ever( no beach today ). Good sunny views and low flying light aircraft from GoodwoodChris Pearson13/05/2018

Lovely sharp frosty morning 8 mile run from home with L .out to Lavant and up the chalk track then down via the sheep field. Nice low winter morning sun glinting off frozen puddles and lighting up the distant cliffs of the Isle of Wight. Wore long johns under my running tights, 2 tops, hat and gloves.Chris Pearson12/12/2017
Bagged as YSM0627 Trundle Hill. Steep but short climb from the carpark for excellent views, a geocache and a poke stop. Grand! #10 day#2 - Double figures at last, time totally running away with us and we still have to get to Beer YHA! Total day#1 #13thejackrustles19/08/2017
Last of the evening from CP to NE up to trig.PeterD07/07/2017
Jogged / walked out from home with L the 4 miles over The Trundle once again to the triangle to meet up for the club Sunday 10 mile run with Alan and Debs on the Downs, then walked the 4 miles back home for gardening and then down to the beach with Betty the dog for paddling and swimming lessons (for Betty). lovely sunny day.Chris Pearson21/05/2017
Solo walk on a hazy warm day. Train to Chichester then walked up via East Lavant - roads, paths, footpaths all easily navigable. Good view down onto the racecourse, just a few hours too early for the race meeting.JOHNS06/05/2017
Out of breath laughter racing 27 children up during a Goodwood farm geography trip. Carton of juice and a chocolate bar for all summiteers ensured a motivated ascent all round. Perfect warm sunny clear day for the children to see what a great view looked like . words such as peaceful, beautiful were offered by the youngsters and the best. 'I feel like a giant looking down on everything.' -kids have the best way of summing up feelings.Chris Pearson02/05/2017
