Quick sprint up from the car park to the south. Unremarkable summit in an area of open heath amongst the trees. No real views. Disappointing after the lovely views from near the interesting little visitor centre a mile or so east. | wheresthepath | 09/04/2022 |
Large levelish heathland summit. Easy access by path from car park to S. | RichardM | 25/02/2022 |

Very short walk from the nearest car pk (to SE)- 10 mins return. More of a leisure drive with short walks in the Ashdown Forest today, than the good walk taking in Black Hill (qv for log). | pwheeler | 17/11/2021 |
Parked in car park to SE. Short walk to highpoint, on paths except for the last few metres. By the light of a full moon. | PGCE | 26/02/2021 |

Easy hill. Bus from East Grinstead after Park Run. From Roebuck Hotel there is a good track just north of minor road going west, and this leads quickly to top which is just after service road to outdoor centre. With PJB. We then used good paths to explore this part of forest before bus back. | trimarc2 | 08/09/2018 |
With DTL after Park Run. Good views south once the open area is reached to the west of the top and also of the minor road | r1 | 08/09/2018 |

A second visit to this easy obvious top in a rough clearing in the bracken / scattered trees alongside the drive to Hindleap Warren Outdoor Education Centre run by London Youth who provide a fantastic gold standard service to 9000 youngsters a year often providing their first taste of the outdoors and improving confidence and life skills. Ambitiously they are aiming to educate a total of 100,000 youngsters over the next 10 years. The Hindleap name is sadly evident in the nearby road signs which warn that there were 233 deer collision last year. | Chris Pearson | 01/03/2015 |
