Quick walk around reservoir compoundcjo16/12/2022
From the narrow Wilton lane to N, up resr track and round resr. Had to park E of track, well off road which was gridlocked by locals vs refuse truck using it to avoid an A338 closure.pwheeler23/08/2021
Parked at start of access track to NW. Simple walk up track and around reservoir compound.PGCE09/07/2021
Simple walk up track ( short term parking at end), then around the reservoir compound, decided HP is ground on NE side.Denise 02/11/2020
Up the reservoir service track from lane to N. Around the enclosure for good measure. Fine sunset.RichardM02/11/2020
From the road to the south. Up bank to walk around the reservoir and back.fosal2905/07/2020
3rd and final top of the day on a traverse from Kintybury to Bedwyn station, climbing Pilot Hill, Walbury Hill with an added on foray just off the trail to Inkpen Hill (looks like a P27). Used Mid Wilts Way to descend then fp Nw into Shalbourne then via the busy A338 to climb up bank and a short walk to the reservoir. Walked all the way round; there is a gap in the fence should anyone need that extra thrill. A guy was practising his drone skills to increase his employability. Descent via minor lane all the way to Great Bedwyn and the station for onward travel home via Reading and Derby.Dazingdale22/03/2020

As Herbert Anchovy. There is no obvious start to the track so you have to scale the road bank. Huge manure heap could be a contender for the top but I drew the line at climbing this.Campbell Singer25/05/2019
Parked in entrance to the wood merchants, crossed the road and along grassy strip to covered reservoir. Didn't bother to scale the gate.Herbert Anchovy11/02/2019
Parked in a wide entrance on the A338 and across the field to the reservoir. The compound has gates at the back which are easily scalable if required.clivevilla30/01/2019

Fly tipping seemed a sadly common theme today. A broken dolls house or a moss covered armchair on offer here. Fly Tipping is an epidemic it would seem with DEFRA keeping statistics and just 4 days ago issuing a report that in 2015/16 there were 936,000 incidents dealt with just in England by local authorities costing a staggering £49.8 million. A third of all fly tipping is of 'small van loads' followed by 'car boot loads'. If caught fixed penalty tickets can be issued-up to £400 (or in court up to £50,000 fine or 12 months in prison). I suspect Wessex CC have given up (?)wasting money on cleaning up the mess judging by the piles of roadside debris I kept coming acrossChris Pearson06/03/2017

East Grafton to Bedwyn.Smudge15/11/2014
Drove to covered reservoir compound from minor road to NW. Walked round perimiter fence - no obvious higher point; compound gate would have been easy to breech but not much point.jonglew06/11/2014
Easy parking on minor road to NW. Tarmac access drive (with no gate) all way to summit. Modern reservoir on top with high fence. Hole in fence, but why trespass when inside fence all man-made. Highest natural point is somewhere around the fence. Dull top with fly-tipping along the drive. Views dependent upon what is growing in surrounding fieldsHillsidenick24/11/2013
