Parked in residential street in Bucks Horn Oak as too 'tight' to pay to park at Bentley Station. Circular walk to include Lodge Inclosure and River hill.Buck23/07/2023
Bentley bimble: almost emulated Theresa May in the field of wheat but declined as in full view of house!PhilipChaston17/07/2022
Parked in the road to Bentley Station (no parking, M-F, 7am to 2pm). Circuit of Lodge Inclosure and River Hill (field boundary from N - didn't seem to be anybody at the house).PGCE11/04/2021
The old Signal station- now house- glowed in the lovely evening sunlight, accessed via a field embankment from the RoW to the NW. HP deemed to be outside house walls but who knows.Denise 15/10/2020
Over stubble from RoW along N side of summit field - but does put you in full view of the Old Signal House. The Old Signal House does give character to the hill.RichardM15/10/2020
1 hour round of this hill and River Hill from Bentley station, between trains. Crossed from ROW to N, over stubbly field (note time of year) with absolutely no cover from the farmhouse on the highest point. Perhaps a little risky!Mark Jackson20/04/2019
Visited HP on a pleasant walk from Bentley Station, which included Lodge Inclosure in Alice Holt, Home Hanger, River Hill and Catham Copse on a warm sunny day with very clear views. Easy HP bag over dry stubble field from ROW to N. A 6 mile walk, using ROWs except to bag the HPspwheeler26/09/2018
At lunchtime, parked up near Binsted and then took the footpath that went North. A detour back South then took me up to the HP.JohRvs28/03/2017
Bentley to Alton. Across stubble field from ROW to N.Smudge30/09/2016
Easier than I feared. From south kept to west side of track alongside field edge, hidden from houses by hedge, around to NE corner high point next to the old Telegraph House. Built in 1829 as a semaphore signalling station (Sir Home Riggs Popham system) on a line from Chatley Heath, a station on the London to Portsmouth line, westwards towards Plymouth.Chris Pearson20/09/2015
Parked at field entrance part way along private road leading to hill top. Took field bdy to HP, near north side Telegraph House.jonglew28/04/2015
