Logged Descriptions  (logged by 28 users)ByDate of Ascent
Parked near slip road, up past farm to mast and reservoir, walked around perimeter fence anti clockwise to forest track busy with walkers and MTBs, into undergrowth from bend, Rhododendrons not too bad. Also possible to access from Bedgebury estate where there is parking.PeterD28/10/2021
Early morning visit. Drove up access track. Found a way to the mound after a couple of false starts.PGCE30/12/2020

Parked just off the A21 slip road. Pleasant walk past horsey Farm. The top is in bushes just a few mts north of the second water tank, esconced in rhododendrons. Parking is the biggest problem.Campbell Singer17/10/2020
Drove in along track to water tower. Naughty. Blundered about undergrowth a while till successful. With Geraldine.Pete West28/01/2020
Parked up in the Layby on the A21 and walked up here with friends. Extended our walk in the forest coming back to the car just as it was getting dark. Not a lot to see at the summit, just a lot of greenerydave-harris11/11/2018
Utility city! 3 utility compounds and if the obvious mound (once a way has been fought through the rhododenron) is the HP, then no need to enter any of them! The mound is not obvious and in fact isn't seen until one is at its foot such is the vegetation cover. It's approx 30m SW of the mast compound's SW fence.jonglew08/11/2018
Horsmonden to Flimwell. Mound is most likely to be spoil heap with well established vegetation.Smudge21/10/2017
From NW. Park in entrance to mast /reservoir trackjimbloomer08/08/2016
3m mound W of resr compound, covered in rhododendrons. Unclear whether natural but very well established. Otherwise, natural HP possibly in compound or just outside to W. From S: directish line from picnic site is feasible, finding gap in roadside brambles. Dual c/way surprisingly quiet mid Sun a.m. but could be hard to cross in holiday season.RHW22/02/2015
By headtorch and wellies up path from S end of large laybay on A21 (full of gravel lorries -just squashed my car in). Green iron railings around circular water tower with the summit being up a wooded and rhododendron covered hump alongside to N. (enough gaps to pick a way through). The nearby Bewl Water reservoir (completed in 1973) is the largest inland body of water in the SE and stores water pumped from the R. Medway in winter to serve the increasing demand in the SE.Chris Pearson05/02/2015
No parking on B2079. Parked on large layby to s. At far end of layby is a path that takes you to the summit. Found a largish mound that may be the summit. Had a good wander around.destaylor03/04/2014
