Couldn't use CP because of discriminatory and access-blocking height barrier. Found a space to park at TQ01212 45410. Used private drive from Chinthrust Lodge - sign says 'pedestrian access only' - to easily reach the Access area, with its myriad of paths and marked trails.Martin R19/06/2023

Short and quick from the car park in the north if you take the steep path, there is an easier path that winds round and up. Tower at the top and a view east only, trees cover all other directions. The Mountain Raven19/08/2017

From Shalford railway station and then from car park to north. Very straightforwardtrimarc211/02/2017
Good woodland path from large carpark on N side. (entrance hard to spot on busy road) 10m tall stone built tower on summit, concreted doorway and well secured windows prevent access. Good views, a little wet snow on the grassy hillside to the E.RichardM14/01/2017
HP is base of brick- built tower, door bricked up and partially ruined, but picturesque in sunshine in clearing amongst trees. Open view east over frosty fields.Denise 14/01/2017

4 or 5 visits to summit. This was the first, thanks to footpath restoration and clearing. After visiting the top I walked to St Martha's Hill via Blackheath and returned via Chantries- a nice way of spending 3 hours.pwheeler14/12/2003
