Footpath from road into the lovely open parkland sloping up from the lake and grand 14th century Penshurst Place, used at one time as a hunting lodge by Henry VIII. Hopped north over fence into wood ,weaved through the nightline ropes strung between trees by an adventure company (absent today), steep bank and another easy fence hop into open field for summit. However, a slightly higher (natural?)point can be seen through the adjacent high deer fence surrounding the garden of The Mount on an overgrown bank at base of trees / bushes. Fence looks too rickety to support a climb without collapsing and garden private, so content with field, almost as high | Chris Pearson | 18/05/2015 |
Parked just off road to SW. Footpath to start. Summit probably in the field. | destaylor | 10/03/2014 |
