Thanks to a friend of a friend who lives there. Formal security on gate. Drove around estate and visited both spot heights, which are located on estate roads/ verges. Also trig.Denise 10/03/2024
Access achieved with thanks to a resident of the estate arranged through friend of a friend of a friend. Grass verge of road next to both the mapped OS spot heights and W end of Abbotswood Drive visited. Levelish summit area and no views due to the tall hedges. I didn’t see any evidence of the old hill fort. Fence around water tower and trig point is awkward.RichardM10/03/2024

As DC11 main. I was asked to solve a puzzle to name a house to be allowed in at the Old La security gate. The reason baggers have been less wary recently is intriguing and rather heartwarming. Otherwise, Surrey unexpectedly completed on a day of anticyclonic gloom.pwheeler25/01/2022
I was a bit wary about this top but no subterfuge needed. Just asked the lady at the Old Avenue security gate whether I could visit the trig and high point(s). She had heard of our type before and readily gave permission, on the proviso that I check out with her when I leave. A cheery wave and thank-you as I left; job doneDC11main29/08/2021

Drove up to security gate on Old Avenue and asked politely if it would be okay to go to the trig point at the top of the hill. Man agreed and let me through. Parked at water tower and walked to all the suggested highpoints.PGCE08/04/2021

Walked up to a security guard explaining what I was doing this morning. He was initially very hesitant, but eventually let me through on the condition I come straight back to the same gate once finished. Visited the trig point and the two 78m spot heights. Surrey Tumps completed!!lerritt01/08/2020

Abortive attempt from Weybridge station. The gate at TQ075629 was manned by a surly-looking security guard; walked round to TQ082636 but even the pedestrian gate was electronically locked and I didn't fancy climbing it on CCTV. Next time I will probably try a combination of Jon Glew's entry point and Chris Pearson's jogging strategy!Mark Jackson29/09/2018
Drove in from the N up Old Road: Guards happy to let us pass up.GordonAdshead10/12/2016
Encouraged by the success of Jon & Rob I put on my running gear and snuck past the white gates ( no actual sign saying private or no entry -just tag holders only) to enter 'Europe's premier gated community which attracts the worlds 'elite' incl. Russian Oligarchs (and now baggers!). A promotional video talks of 24 hours manned gates and mobile security patrols - (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hj8rLLhu6) but thankfully non seen. By posing as a jogger in a bright jacket rather than a wandering vagabond I hoped to blend in as normal and also be quicker to reach the 2 x 78m spot heights and trig by water tower before security could intercept me. All objectives duly reached with no security appearing, despite the obvious suspicious caution of a porche driver (personalised no. plates) who paused outside his mansion before opening the gate until I was far enough away. Pretty amazing 'houses' passed. No footpaths - I guess few people walk here. Surrey Tumps completed.Chris Pearson03/02/2016
From ne. Main summit in Abbott Mount garden, small lawn with two tall pines, close to 78m spot ht and 1-2ft higher. Second 78m spot 300m to SW a level area. Large 75m contour 200m to nw at TQ 08476220 also investigated, quite flat, seems unlikely to be as high. My final Surrey P30. In London for Ueli Steck lecture the previous evening. This quite a contrast! V pleasant area on a spring like Jan Sat am. Quite a few vehicles around, some will be Golf Course related.RHW23/01/2016
Access to this estate for the seriously rich is easiest from Seven Hills Rd. There is a vehicle and pedestrian gate for tag holders which can be circumvented without climbing, but you will be on CCTV! Nerve needed to be held for a 1 mile walk to the HP (and return), passing by the 2 trigs which can also be bagged if so desired. HP at junc Campend Rd and Old Avenue.jonglew29/12/2015

There's private, then there's PRIVATE then there's THOU SHALT NOT PASS. According to Wikipeadia previous residents include Tom Jones, Elton John, Jensen Button and Kate Winslet. The only way you're getting in here is to buy one of the houses. Do oyu have £13,000,000 to spare? Adjacent road has highest point outside the estate.ijpowell24/10/2014
Bagged the trig pillar from NE but knew nothing of the P30 at the time, so not a summit tick. 1:10k mapping has two 78m spot heights plus another large 75m contour looks a possible third candidate.RHW20/07/2007
