Easy access as per des. W of northern pool I reckoned | RHW | 27/06/2015 |
Uncertain access so tackled at dusk with just enough light to see but not be seen. Surprisingly came across a small gate into the wood from the east and a small path that led through the tress exactly to the top past several ponds. In the dusk I could not read the sign on the gate which might have said walkers welcome or keep out? Tiptoed past the house alongside but the dog heard me and came charging up to the fence barking like crazy. The unseen owner called it off presumably assuming it had smelt a fox or deer. Kept my torch off. Quickly returned same way with a repeat greeting from the dog. | Chris Pearson | 04/03/2015 |
