From NNE just before Craigencaillie Ho. Followed forestry tracks, then across to top. Nice top and views.colazione25/02/2023
Parked to the NNE by the right angle bend below Craigencallie House. Followed forest road then ATV track across the tussocks. Nice little summit. Solo.Dangerous Dave08/10/2022
Started from A712 just E of Craigdews. Followed vehicle track and crossed to path running above W side Tonderghie Burn to join forestry road until NW of Poultrybuie Hill. Short rough ascent to Poultrybuie Hill, then back to track for a while and then short climb to nice summit of Munwhul. Back to track and across to walk N around W side of (felled) forestry to reach ridge and steady ascent to Cairngarroch (quite complex summit area, visiting various high points as well as the cairn. Returned along ridge and continued to Millfore, the interesting top of Gairy of Pulnee, back to Millfore SW top, easy descent S and across to Fell of Talnotry. Descent through forest ride and then rough felled forest to forestry road followed on S side of Black Loch and back to start. Mainly misty and drizzle but some clearancesRobertP23/11/2021
From Black Loch forest car park (NX 4992 7300). Fell of Talnotry -> Poultrybuie Hill first, then picked up excellent forest road 200m due N of Poultrybuie and followed it till due W, then trods across to here - the only easy leg of the route today. On to Darnaw -> Craignell -> Brockloch Hill for a 10 mile round across a lot of very bad ground.jonglew05/05/2021
Parked near the bend on the single track Craigencallie road. Good forestry track to the col between Munwhul and Millfore, a faint path to Munwhul and a surprisingly easy ascent of Millfore. A pleasant stroll to the SW Top (at least it would have been without a fierce south-easterly) and on to Gairy of Pulnee, descending by the White Lochan of Drigmorn and cutting across to Cairngarroch surprisingly easily and with only moderately damp feet. The descent from Cairngarroch, though, is a nightmare of tussocks.Nick Down121/03/2020
murrays monument, fell of talnotry, poultrybuie hill, munwhul, darnaw, craignell, brockloch hill, from the cp.robertphillips04/03/2020
5th top of 11 on a 30km route from Auchenleck Car park to Murray's monument, climbing Bennan Hill, Gairy of Pulnee, Millfore Sw top and Millfore, descending East then ENE with difficulty due to tussocks to reach track then climbing over the outcrop of Court Knowe to then climb down and back up again steeply to the true summit, recording 420m @ NX 49371 75689 and NX 49364 75684 respectively. Re-traced route back to the track and then headed up steeply Nw to the Buckdas of Cairnbaber, heading for Cairngarroch. In retrospect I should have left Munwhul for the return loop. Live and learn..Dazingdale26/08/2018

Short diversion on Millfore expedition with Steve G.Smudge25/03/2018
From Millfore. Original plan to head for Lamachan Hill was knocked on the head by shortage of time, bad weather, lack of 1:25,000 or GPS. Retraced route from Millfore to the forestry track, then easy albeit claggy.Owen B21/05/2017
Climbed from Craignell. Very steep descent to col at Scars of Bennan which I should have anticipated. Better to descend valley on south side of Bennan.chriswatson27/04/2015
Forest road unused, logging stopped here. Drove to 489757 an up west face. Sunny, mild, good views.iangalbraith30/11/2014
After Craignell. and Darnaw, drop to col and easier climb to collect Munwhul. Followed road back to car left at 502771.nordicstar24/08/2013
With: hb sb ab; We parked in carpark (NX498729) by Black Loch then followed forest track. Then over Kirkloch ridge to summit trig. Returned by joining track near Munwhul. Interesting tower by W end of Black Loch.Ian Baines27/05/2008
