2 of 3 from the track entrance.robertphillips10/03/2024
7/8 Much easier than feared, No crawling needed. Up the fire break from S. Veer left at end (Not right up the steep grassy knoll). Deer track easily up through conifers for @20m to another grassy clearing (maybe still with blue balloon plastic!) head uphill right to link to wider open ride to keep right to approach summit from W -all in open until last few feet. Failed to find track down west (must have been 100m to one side at one point) -so committed to 1km of downhill swampy tussocks (hey ho) following stream valley until hit contouring track, which I felt like kissing. Picked up the pace finally to ensure daylight to find a a link onto the much easier sheep pastures of Cnoc Dubh Loch.Chris Pearson10/11/2023
Followed the private road from the Ballimore entrance CP, detouring along an ATV track to Cnoc Lomain, over a field gate to its North Top, through a sheep fank and up a sheep trod to Barr a' Ghlaoigh Mor, then another ATV route up to Creag Thulach. Approached Meall an Fhithich from the SE, initially following a fence line up to Lochan na Cuaig. A meandering route over to Creag an Aonaich then SW to pick up a faint track through the adjacent forestry. A reasonably wide break aids access to Cnoc Lochan a' Bhealaich then its back to the minor track, which becomes a proper stone track further west, until SE of Cnoc Lochan a' Bhealaich. I followed a fence line then demolished wall until S of summit then up through first long grass then conifer crawl to the summit. The final hill of the day was the much more straightforward Cnoc Dubh Loch, although a deer fence clamber was still required before reaching grazed grass. Returned to car along the B845, getting on to it from Barachander Farm. Lovsummitter30/10/2023
First hill after 4½ months of “lockdown”! Bus along B845 to Shellachan road end. Along approach road, leftwards on to forestry track about 0370 6210, fork right about 0325 2680 and about 0379 2713, up to high point of track about 0411 2711. Leftwards round edge of forest to reach open area running roughly south-north up to ridge west of top, then eastwards through trees to summit. View limited. Light overcast; some drizzle late morning, some rain early afternoon. Time on descent to reconnoitre approach to Creag Bhainneach, but not to climb it, before return to B845 for bus to Oban.mainnirnamfiadh13/04/2021
4th tump of 12 on a traverse from Taynuilt to the Taychreggan hotel, climbing Cnoc Ichrachan, Tom nan Aighean and Creag Bhainneach, descending South then Ese exploring numerous knolls and several summit contenders on a Se trajectory before heading Ene to cross deer fence heading for Creag an Aonaich..Dazingdale05/05/2019
