Revisit with Jonglew, at low tide enabling access to the more mellow seaward side. Turned back at the crux, rock isn't great and a fall would be serious. Worth considering abseil for descent. The Bedruthan path has been closed, likely due to danger of rockfall wiping out the path and anyone on it. Reasonable, well used paths down from Park Head/Pentire Steps NT car park convenient for this summit. Even a non summit outing is well worthwhile. | RHW | 21/07/2023 |
Access from NT Carnewas, steps down. Diggory accessible maybe 2hrs before low water; I arrived at low water. Surprised to find a scrambling route up seaward side, reached by easy slabs from S end. Crux 4m narrow ramp with good holds except rock not entirely reliable, and exposed, hence needs taking seriously. Steep grass above; grassy summit.
