Logged Descriptions  (logged by 13 users)ByDate of Ascent
30 km kayak from Tayvallich with Pete. Bit of a tide race between it and Danna, even close to slack, with a F4-5 NW wind.AndyS20/07/2019
My 500th SIB (574 currently listed). From east, involved getting the kayak over a barbed wire fence, dragging it across 200m of rough grazing to sandy Bagh na Boide, 3km paddle, flat calm except for bow waves from various fast boats. Quite strong current from S around the islands, 1kt or so, slow going for a short while. Also an interesting foamy 50m section halfway across. Close to neap tide, could be more of an issue on a spring. Bagged Eilean Gamhna (NR 68081 75883 grassy outcrop) and E nan Leac (NR 68931 75441, knoll) on way back, lovely islands all, on a gorgeous summer day.RHW14/07/2019
Revisit again today with Farsain, preceded by much more interesting Eilean Mor (E McCormick (squib), and E nan Coinean (squib). Beautiful weather.Thearlaichdubh12/05/2019

Last tump and Island of the day, after landing and summiting Eilean Righ North top in Craignish Loch then South along the coast to visit Carsaig Island followed by Eilean Dubh then the Squibs of Eilean nan Coinean and the more gentle Eilean Mor with its Christian and Viking heritage on display. Tricky landing at NR679 761, recording 30m at NR 67649 75653. Amazingly, 90.5km including walking on the islands....Dazingdale12/05/2019
