Parked at layby opposite lake. Over metal gate to telegraph poles. Follow westwards for 100 metres or so then ESE onto the ridge - summit at far end with stunted oak on one side and silver birch on other. Usual culprits - bracken, heather, brambles - messy.jrj10/10/2023
Parked on a layby and went straight up from there, over a fence. Then a lot of brambles and ferns, it's very overgrown. There's a few high points but according to strava, there's a tiny circle at the top of 130m.Skarletk25/12/2021

AS RHW but didn't manage to avoid much of the Bracken/ Bramble! Not one for the summer..TK08/11/2019
From w, lay by, gate, elec poles avoiding brambles, brackeny break, heathery ridge over lower w summit to cragtop heathery summit, feels more than p30RHW16/12/2017
From the north track a short but slightly tangled walk with bramble grabbing my legs and hidden bogs soaking both feet twice.vegibagger16/11/2015
7/7 on walk from Tanygrisiau to the Oakley Arms beginning with a few minor Moelwyns and then some even more minor TuMPS close to the old Ffestiniog railway line. Another perfectly good hill ruined by forestry plantation. This one has been recently clear felled and it took me two attempts to find a route to the top. The first time I got through brash, brambles, willow scrub and a swamp only to encounter a wall of gorse. Second time I followed the deep wheel ruts of a tree harvester which got me close to the top. A final climb over more brash got me to the top. I suppose there's a perverse, bloody-minded pleasure in this sort of thing...Herbert Anchovy10/04/2015
