Easy enough from an obvious layby to the South. Great views with a vertical drop to the South of the ridge. | jrj | 16/10/2023 |

After Glog, W-E traverse, oakwood, clifftop outcrop summit, #3 of 5 from SH614398 | RHW | 16/12/2017 |
Solo: Penrhyndeudraeth - Pen-y-bwlch - Pen Ty-fry - Ynys Berfedd - Penrhyn-isaf - Porthmadog. These hills should be avoided altogether in August when the vegetation is at its thickest! W side is just a mess, N side is easy but tricky to access, S side is vertical, E ridge is the best way and leads to a remarkably vertiginous summit. Well found Myrddyn! | Mark Jackson | 22/08/2016 |
Evening run from Penrhyn taking in Pen-Ty-fry, Ynys Glog and Ynys Berfedd. A couple of possible tops but I thought the eastern one was highest. | Herbert Anchovy | 20/02/2015 |
