Gathersnow ridge from Polmoodhummusg10/02/2024
Started off at Kingtedores Farm and took the track to Hopehead. Very steep climb up to Coomb Hill and then pretty easy going to Gathersnow Hill, Hillshaw Head and Coomb Dod. Decided to come back via the upper route: Glenwhappen Dod, White Knowe Head, Glenmuck Height, Upper Oliver Dod and Nether Oliver Dod which was a bit of a tussocky trudge.tsharp18/08/2023

Parked just off road before Glenkirk, grand day. Up track with Lesley and rough continuation which will become a narrow break in new plantation, new forestry being planted will massively alter character of the head of this valley. Spoke to a forestry worker (fencing) who told us over a million trees planted here. Continued round over Coulter Fell and Cardon Hill.Nick Canute26/09/2022
Parked on A701 at entrance to Kingledores Farm, I cycled up the valley, until the windfarm track on the right. I walked up this track to the first turbine, where I cut off west and contoured across the south slope of Broomy Law, they picked up a faint path along the fenceline to Coomb Hill, then onto Gathersnow Hill and Hillshaw Head. Stopped for lunch on wind turbine base, then followed the windfarm track to Coomb Dod. From here I dropped down to the sheepfold in the valley and walked back east along the valley back to the bike, then cycled back to the car. Dry all day, with clouds blowing through, 05:25hrs all in.chillyman828/08/2022

A circuit from Kingledores on a mild, misty December day. Across the foot bridge, up trods onto the broad SE ridge of Cocklie Rig Head, across the windfarm track to the summit, along the fence line over Glenlood Hill, Broomy Law, Coomb Hill, Gathersnow Hill, Hillshaw Head, Coomb Dod and Glenwhappen Dod, steeply down heather slopes to the track down the glen below the sheepfold. There is a curious gallery of summit markers on the Donalds and Donald Tops!Nick Down123/12/2018

From Kingledores using windfarm access road to keep feet dry. Out to Glewnlood Hill then along ridge over Broomy Law and Coomb Hill to Gathersnaw Hill. Walked to Hillshaw Head in compant with walker doing a horseshoe from north but sadly saw nothing. Then came the huge surprise as a wind turbine appeared as I descended to Coomb Dod. Returned by way of east flank and valley floor. Shame about the weather.SS14/10/2017
Continuation of walk from Moss Law. Descended south to the bealach at Holm Nick, then by an ATV track up Glenwhappen Rig, diverting south-east higher up to reach the bealach on the south-west end of the hill, and thence to the summit. To return, descended NNE to the bealach below Broomy Law, then down by sheep paths and a track to Holms Waterhead, and then track north-east back to the road-end. Solo.Man of Kernow109/10/2016
