Parked by school at SD230715, walked a few hundred metres S along road (appropriately named Stank Lane), turned left onto track just before farm, then right into summit field. Mist provided a useful invisibility cloak today.Tony J02/01/2024
Best to park by school. But having a sore toe, I parked up the hill as Gordon Adshead.Minto28/12/2023
6/10 Parked on roadside in Newton. Took RoW over to the school, up the road, then green lane on left before the farm. Through the gate on right at the top and followed field edge (not visible from the farm) until directly below the summit, before heading up to the trig. Returned the same way.silveracorn_alan18/02/2023
Parked by school, walked up road, then track to gate on right. Easily up to trig as light was going but rain had stopped.PeterD28/12/2022
Yarlside [Bowesfield S5380] from GR: SD 23083 71541ronaldo33327/11/2022
No RoW from SD231712 and in full view of Bowesfield Farm.Isbjorn06/07/2022
Easy parking in gateway to WSW. Crossed heavy red soil to the trig.GordonAdshead14/11/2021
Park where the road widens out in Newton. Alternatively, there are several places outside the school where staff park so these will be clear at weekends or out of school hours. Take the track before Bowesfield Farm which leads you uphill to a gate. There is a weakness in the hedge on your right which allows you to follow the ridge to just east of the summit.moorsman13/05/2021
2/3 Parked in Leece, up the Cistercian Way and then continue up Green Lane, summit in the last field on the left before gate. Then rejoined Cistercian way to get over to hamlet called Stank (it did) to climb Yarlside, back through Stank (couldn't get enough first time) and up Roosecote Hill. Footpath from here back to Leece is pretty overgrown but got by.nickywood111/07/2020

No nearby parking so walked up road from near Newton, then handy green laneColin Crawford01/03/2019
Quick ascent from track to north. Lovely weather for it.Wycombe Wanderer28/01/2019
Tucked the car in at SD 2303 7090 by start of a RoW, not ideal as quite a fast road, but it worked. Into the field and followed hedgerow N for 175m then NE on a direct line to the top. Lot of exposure to the farm, but no-one seemed bothered, or noticed me.jonglew10/12/2018
5th tump of 11 on a 32.2km loop from Askham to Ulverston, climbing Park Knotts, High Haume Beacon, Hagg Hills and The Billings, descending East to modern Sheepfold then once on lane straight over fence and upto footpath that curves round to intersection of paths, taking footpath into Newton and out on minor lane, to ascend inside field boundary parallel with road, ascending East before climbing up direct to summit. I recorded the highest point a few metres NE of the trig however nice tump! Descent West to gate onto Stank lane, heading for Roosecote Hill....Dazingdale31/03/2018

Parked by ROW and 2 gates. Short walk up road to next gate, which is about 100m from the summit.mae03/06/2017
From the two gates as JB then for maximum cover followed hedge as far as possible before longish grass is crossed to reach the trig.Aye Jimmy29/04/2015
From SSW via 2 adjacent gates. Parking OK.jimbloomer05/02/2015
Visited for Bowesfield Trig Point before promotion. Ploughed and reseeded field with gate for access and lovely views.Dugswell213/08/2014
Parked in a small layby at the bottom of the hill just outside Newton. Walked up the hill and turned left along a track, trig in the next field, full of corn.Tony Hartry08/07/2007
