Parked on main road opposite gate into field with gentle grassy rise to pylon at top which is summit. Load of noisy black and white valves greyed me, trotted up the field after me and back down again. Skittish and playful but turn around and try encouragement to get them to even sniff my hand and they immediately backed off from this terrifying human.vegibagger23/05/2021

Did not go to top because no RoWs in the surrounding fields. Nearest point of approach without trespassing seems to be NY114406 on the A596. No mud seen, just grass.Isbjorn16/12/2019

Easy roadside parking in Prospect adjacent to a fieldgate which gives access to a muddy, smelly summit area. 5 minutes return, 20 cleaning your boots!moorsman18/10/2019

Almost not worth the effort on this one, the low point of the day, well, one of several actually. An indeterminate HP, somewhere under the power lines in the slurriest cattle pasture my boots have had the pleasure to grace.jonglew14/12/2017
Through farmyard and over gate into field. Frozen mud, so clean boots! Solo.Dangerous Dave11/12/2017
Field gate and fences to avoid farmyard.Cow slurry to wade through. Thank goodness for my wellies. D attempted to tiptoe through in his trainers with predictable results requiring him to later accept strict instructions to sit in my car with his feet and legs firmly secured in a bin bag.Chris Pearson01/11/2017

Parked in Prospect village at NY 11585 40793. Walked along main road to gate (NY 11431 40672) then nipped over and followed hedgerow to gap at junction - very muddy! Through gap to stand briefly on highest ground beside hedgerow. Ghastly Tump with no redeeming features.David Gradwell23/08/2015

As previous loggers, from gate SW of village. No yapping dogs but lot of cows, mud and churned up ground at top of field.Aye Jimmy06/08/2015

As Rob, gate down from village. Yappy dogs at old chapel roadside. Back direct to car at roadside using farm access.nordicstar03/07/2015

From S, gate; parked in village. My final P30 in Section 34A Northern Fells: not the most auspicious venue!RHW17/05/2015
