From the Upper Cheviot/viewpoint a good path leads through the forest to the open clearing and an initially good path becomes intermittent and a bit rough, following the derelict fenceline to the summit. Kits of blackflies and lots of bilberries... | maknipe | 29/07/2022 |

From Note o' the Gate, following firebreak with old fence line and vague trods. Not as dire as feared. The mound is definitely the high point but may well be artificial | Colin Crawford | 26/03/2019 |
From Note o' the Gate up track as far as Cuttit Sike due to huge windfall (Larch disease?). Easy enough through few trees there then over Fanna Hill and over to Wigg Knowe (what did the MOD do here). It was still dry so I took the longer option down the track apart from one easy cut through. | SS | 12/01/2019 |
From Fanna Hill to the SW. Summit a messy mix of mast, MoD signs and buildings. Direct descent S to regain forestry track at sharp bend, very rough. | Aye Jimmy | 02/11/2018 |
Fanna Hill and Wigg Knowe from E. Track then up through mature trees to emerge on open ground and short walk to summit of Fanna Hill. Simple traverse to Wigg Knowe. | RobertP | 21/07/2018 |
