From the road end, parking on corner above the beach. As RHW, N-W-S-W, easiest on the beach, over a few rocky headlands and peninsulas. Lovely old woodland up to the two possible summits. Returned the same way. Set off 1.5 hrs before low tide, hardest bit was getting round initial headland. Actual crossing was very easy.Minto09/04/2023
Along beach from road end to east. Private signs at house. Two summit mounds of similar height. The southernmost mound contour is not on the map. There and back in just under an hour. With Minto & Jill.Dangerous Dave09/04/2023

From E, Gortenachullish roadhead, after An Garbh Eilean, arriving just after low tide, N on immaculate silver sand then W-S-W and thru nice spring woodland to twin summit - S just higher. Later than usual departure home, thru Glasgow just after 6 missing the non bank hol rush hour, worked nicely. Excellent 3 day weekend albeit bitter N wind - the coldest Mayday Bank hol on record, 2 weeks after the warmest easter on record!RHW06/05/2019
Parked at end of the road (NM 6404 8784). Farmer happy and gave me directions. Crossed 2 1/2 hrs before low tide, one channel still hadn't dried, but not too deep. HP seemed to be a grassy mound approx 50m S of the 20m contour ring on the 1:25k map.jonglew28/12/2018
With Carol M. Train to Arisaig, roads to Gortenachullish, on sand along Caolas Eilean Ighe, to bay SSE of summit as in 2017. Rough tracks to summit of island, where at least three tops. Both of us agreed the south top appeared by eye to be highest, but we had neither measuring equipment nor time available for precision. Dry with some sunshine in spite of forecast of constant light rain. Views to Eigg and Skye. Return to Arisaig station in time to see “Royal Highlander” steam train before own train.mainnirnamfiadh15/06/2018
With Carol M. Chose day with low spring tide. Train to Arisaig – 15 mins late, otherwise might well have reached summit of island. As it was, walked roads to Gortenachullish, then on sand along Caolas Eilean Ighe, crossing south-eastern promontory of island, and reached outskirts of wood below summit at time previously agreed for turning back. Aged 70, and after two recent operations, opted for discretion over valour, and returned to Arisaig station in time to see “Jacobite” steam train just before own train arrived.mainnirnamfiadh25/07/2017

Walked over from Gortenachullish at low tide with Alex and Tony including a walk through a lovely woodland and bagged two likely tops.Dugswell213/06/2017
