Visited with Adrian on the last day of opening, has to close permanently. Following Myrddyn Phillips contacting him Pete Prosser had measured down from roof to highpoint, 0.9m. He'd previously measured up from the 22.07m osbm to roof. Conclusion was a few cm above 31m for highest rock at E end so seems a reliable figure. We were taken up and able to look down on the hp less than 1m below us. Tidal range (at Milford Haven) was 3.4m at date of visit suggesting +/-1.7m wrt OD Newlyn. Opened at 6pm which was about mid-tide and col already exposed suggesting col say +0.5m as an approximation. Update - it just missed out on Tumpdom) | RHW | 27/08/2016 |
