Parked in the southmost car park. Walked around for half an hour or more. GR given here quite possibly the HP but seemed to be much further W (400m) around TQ 8198 8492.jonglew03/07/2016
Large ash tree rather appropriately seems to be approx at highpoint.RHW20/05/2016
Couple of free car parks on the island - the southern one has loads of room and is very quiet. The island is an oasis of tranquillity amongst the hustle and noise of south Essex. Walked all the way round & visited the supposed high spot. Felt a small ridge near the north coast of the eastern part of the island may have been higher, but didn't have a GPS on me to check. Lovely island anyway. Even if it doesn't feel very hill-like!wheresthepath15/05/2016
Nicely surprised by pleasant walk to this little island which is a nature reserve. From Leigh-on-Sea Stationtrimarc210/04/2016

Public car park at the end of the metalled road. Summit could be anywhere on the island.moorsman09/07/2015
With cousin Sarah. Down the road past Leigh-on-Sea station to the car park just across the bridge on to the island. The highest tussock of grass appeared to be about quarter of a kilometre down the road to the slipway, and just to the east of it.mainnirnamfiadh10/04/2015
