Over the bridge from the public footpath along the sea wall. Used to be off limits when I grew up round here but no longer signs on road except about giving way.Swindon Bagger07/08/2016
After Rushley Island, followed dyke round then over swing bridge. Not sure what MoD activities took place here but none do now although still MoD owned. Previous owner (local farmer) now leases the island from MoD, residents are all now tenants of the farmer. Walked across to the 4m spot height, then up onto the dyke at TQ 9580 8946, before wandering along past the houses, chatting with residents, towards Great Potton before deciding it was a fool's errand looking for an alternate HP. Returned to Great Wakering having notched up 8 SIBs today and walking far too many miles.jonglew03/07/2016
From Little Wakering on RoW, mod bridge, checkpoint unmanned, then spot height in pasture, fairly level but feels like hp, no seawall and waterS not tidal here. Early am. Cettis warbler, little egret and cuckooRHW21/05/2016
With Sarah, Kieron, Katherine, and John. Did not approach natural high point, so have not ticked it, but exceeded its height by ascending to roof of bridge house.mainnirnamfiadh14/04/2015
My uncle had farming rights on the island and another uncle was a security guard. I was just a nipper.Martin R01/08/1956
