From end of road. The trig is now lying severed on the ground looking rather like a fallen beast - or have I been hillbagging on my own too long?clivevilla17/11/2020
Parked on verge at gap in hedge 20m NW of trig. Then ambled towards mast.Aye Jimmy14/04/2019

The trig seems to be the high point but I had a wander around including some old runway.Chris Peart12/10/2017
On cycle from Swindon. Trig point seems as good as any high point on the flat topped hill. Easy access from road through hole in fence.RichardM18/01/2017

Accessed via the small 'lay by' where the old concrete track meets the road. Simple walk to the area N of the phone mast. Forgot to bag trig!!!DanMaisieBex02/09/2016
I thought the trig seemed as high as anywhere.Herbert Anchovy10/02/2016
Flatish rough pasture, HP difficult to determine. Here to bag the pillar. Site of RAF Clyffe Pypard. Opened Aug 1941 as part of Flying Training Command. Airfield closed 1947. Sold for agricultural land 1978.jonglew08/02/2011
Fortuitously bagged the Trig point on a 24 mile walk from then home in Swindon to Avebury and back, long before it was a recognised TuMP. Training for Nijmegen 4 Day Marches in July same year.Hillsidenick01/07/2010
