After Din Law, followed the tracks and then a slight deviation west of the wall for the summit.JAdair9704/02/2023

Wide verge for parking at NT 1343 2027. Across FB then steeply up to Garelet Hill -> Laird's Cleuch Rig -> Erie Hill -> Garelet Dod and continued S along the ridge to here. On to Din Law -> Great Hill -> Molls Cleuch Dod -> Carlavin Hill, then steep descent back to car for a 15.9km round.jonglew13/12/2021

Up Gameshope valley from Talla Teservoir, then back along seven tops to the West. Easily room for around six cars at Talla Linnfoots. Good path up as far as bothy, more vague beyond there. Very unpleasant struggle through rough ground on north slope of Cape Law. But fine from there, following wall lines back over Cape Law, Din Law, Ellers Cleuch Rig, Garelet Dod, Erie Hill, Lairds Cleuch Rig, and Garelet Hill. Deer fencing runs from Common Law north to Talla, but gates are provided. Failed to find proper path for descent from Garelet. Great views, and didn’t see a soul all day.Toby-and-Dion10/07/2021

A memorable day during a New Year Borders week. A crisp, clear, cold (-5 at the start) & sunny day with Shaky & Smithy, we dropped one car at Talla Linnfoots & drove the other to the layby on A701 at the Devil's Beef Tub. Followed the usual route up to Whitehope Heights then over Whitehope Knowe & up to Hart Fell. Onwards over Hartfell Rig & then turning N to switchback over Cape Law, Din Law, Ellers Cleuch Rig, Garelet Dod, a sharp pull on to Erie Hill & then on to Lairds Cleuch Rig to finish at the trig on Garelet Hill just in time for a truly stunning sunset. The SMC guide calls the ascent of Garelet Hill from the loch to the E 'brutal but satisfying'. In descent, it's just brutal although there is a faint path on the left side to help. A magnificent walk in perfect winter weather & highly recommended!NotReallyABagger02/01/2019

Garelet ridge in snow. Parked at Talla Linnfoot, crossed the bridge, followed footsteps up the steep slope to Garelet Hill. Then Laird's Cleuch Rig, Erie Hill, Garelet Dod, Eller's Cleuch Rig, Din Law and Cape Law, returning by the fence, cutting into the valley of the Gamehope Burn from the col SW of Erie Hill, wading the burn, and following the track back to Talla Linnfoot. A superb, but very cold, day.Nick Down110/12/2017

Garelet Ridge. Parked at Talla Linnfoots. Horrifically steep ascent to Garelet Hill, then followed ridge to Cape Law - 7 summits including 3 Donalds and 3 Donald Tops. Dropped down to Gameshope Burn for return - followed west bank to Gameshope bothy, then had to wade the burn as none of the alleged FBs on the OS map exist - quite hair-raising after snow melt! Then followed good track back to start.Crib Goch25/03/2017
