From Salisbury Close. Mound and top of reservoir. | PGCE | 01/12/2020 |
Delightful hill popular with locals with views in all directions- though the actual summit is wooded. The HP is either a suspiciously man made looking mound (possibly associated with the unnatural HP on a covered reservoir) or at the west side of reservoir boundary in beech trees. Aerial enclosure is lower. Pleasant spot for lunch on carved trunk on south side. | Denise | 29/09/2020 |
Field paths from Chawton and lunch in 'Windmill Hill Park' in hot sunshine enjoying views to S. Visited the well trod mound in woods on E side of resr. and the OS spot height in Beech woods on W side. Engineers working on the covered resr. | RichardM | 29/09/2020 |

As jonglew: Interesting display board at top showing all hills in a circle. | GordonAdshead | 23/06/2019 |
40 min round trip from Alton station. Unusually the covered reservoir on the summit is not surrounded by a tall, spiky security fence, but by a low netting one easily climbable at the gate. | Mark Jackson | 20/04/2019 |
Alton station circular. Revisit filled up an hour until next bus to Selborne after signalling system problem delayed initial plans. | Smudge | 15/02/2019 |
Walked up from Water Lane to the E. Wandered around, took HP to be the curious mound to the E of the Reservoir. | DanMaisieBex | 07/10/2017 |
on Alton- Windmill Hill- Water La- Park Hanger- Wick Hill- Hangers Way- Alton walk. Over 4 h, but satisfying to do a long walk in this area. It gets much better >2 miles from Alton, but this hill and Kings Park (where I started) is interesting and good | pwheeler | 02/09/2017 |
From Salisbury Close along FP. Visited reservoir top and mound. | PeterD | 16/06/2017 |
Alton circular. Mounds in the scrubland E of the reservoir are most likely to have been created from spoil. | Smudge | 28/04/2017 |
From housing estate, reservoir top and scrubby mound. | rhalstead | 09/04/2017 |
From nw, short path from Salisbury Cl. E edge of covered resr 2m high approx over centre of summit contour and easily bagged, ancient mound to SE about 1m lower. Nice beech copse. | RHW | 17/12/2016 |
From the N, parking in housing estate. Good sized mound in scrubby woodland E side of reservoir seems to be highest natural point. Otherwise top of the reservoir. | jonglew | 28/11/2016 |
A pleasing new find from hunting on geograph for overlooked TuMPS prior to visiting the area. At summit did 'mound, reservoir and all around' | Chris Pearson | 03/07/2016 |
